Add some shine to your child’s room with a metallic toy bin. See how metallic spray paint can transform an ordinary plastic bin that can store toys, stuffed animals and more.
- Clean the surface of the bin and allow it to thoroughly dry.
- Working over a drop cloth in a well-ventilated space, shake your can of Rust-Oleum Universal Metallic Spray Paint vigorously for one minute after the mixing ball begins to rattle.
- Hold can upright, 8-12” from the bin, and apply spray paint (we chose Turquoise) in a steady, back-and forth motion, slightly overlapping each stroke. Apply two or more light coats of metallic spray paint a few minutes apart. For best results, apply several light coats rather than one heavy coat.
- Allow the paint to dry thoroughly for 24 hours before filling your metallic toy bin.
