A chalkboard globe makes unique décor. You can also use it to display past travels or plan future trips.

PREPARE: Find a well-ventilated workspace and cover nearby items with a drop cloth to protect them from overspray. Clean the globe with a lint-free cloth and use painter’s tape to cover the globe's frame and base.

PAINT: Shake your can of Chalkboard Spray Paint for 1 minute after the mixing ball begins to rattle. Hold the paint can 10-12” from the surface of the globe and spray in a steady, back-and-forth motion, slightly overlapping each stroke. Apply 2-3 light coats a few minutes apart to build the finish. Ensure each coat is fully dry before applying another.

FINISH: Let the chalkboard paint dry for approximately 1-2 hours. Then, remove the painter’s tape. Let the globe dry completely for 24 hours. Once the chalkboard surface is completely dry, condition it by rubbing a piece of chalk over the entire area and erasing it.

Now you’re ready to decorate your globe with chalk and put it on display.
