Spray paint your way to a patio set that looks brand new! Give your wooden patio furniture a fresh look with Rust-Oleum Universal Gloss Spray Paint. See how this easy and affordable DIY project can give your patio an updated look.

  1. Make sure your patio furniture is clean and dry. Sand off any loose paint. Wipe the furniture with a lint-free cloth to remove any remaining dust or dirt.
  2. Over a drop cloth, shake the spray paint can vigorously for one minute after the mixing ball begins to rattle. Slide off the red safety clip from the trigger. Start spraying in a steady, back-and-forth motion, slightly overlapping each stroke. Keep the can the same distance from the surface and in motion while spraying. Apply two or more light coats a few minutes apart.
  3. For best results, apply several light coats versus one heavy coat. Allow the spray paint to dry thoroughly for approximately 1 hour before handling the furniture.
