Give an old, metal plant stand a new look with a couple coats of Rust-Oleum Stops Rust Spray Paint. Stops Rust protects as it beautifies, leaving you with a painted plant stand that will last longer.
Step 1: Shake your can of Rust-Oleum Stops Rust Rusty Metal Primer for one minute after the mixing ball begins to rattle. Spray the primer in slow, back-and-forth motions, overlapping each stroke slightly for even coverage. Let the primer dry for approximately 1 hour or wait 48 hours before applying spray paint.
Step 2: Shake your can of Rust-Oleum Stops Rust Spray Paint (we used Gloss Rich Jade) for one minute after the mixing ball begins to rattle. Apply the spray paint in slow, back-and-forth motions, overlapping each stroke slightly for even coverage. Apply one or two additional coats of paint immediately, if needed.
Step 3: Let your plant stand dry for a full 48 hours before use outdoors.
