Be the "hostess with the mostest" at a food and beverage station you've created from thrifted items and some fresh paint. Give your guests something to talk about when you do this easy project yourself.
CART: First, remove the hardware on the cabinet and cover any parts of the cart you don't want to paint with painter's tape.
Place the cabinet on a drop cloth and stir the Ultra Matte Chalked paint thoroughly. With a high-quality synthetic brush, use light, even brush strokes to ensure even flow and a smooth finish. Let the first coat dry for at least 30 minutes before applying a second coat.
Let the paint dry for two hours, then apply Chalked Protective Topcoat with a high-quality synthetic paint brush using light, even strokes. Let dry at least 2 hours between coats and apply 1-2 topcoats for best protection. Let the paint fully cure for 3-4 days.
ACCESSORIES: While your cabinet paint dries, clean your accessories and use painter's tape to cover any parts of the accessories that you don't want to spray paint. Place each item on a drop cloth.
Shake the can of spray paint for one minute after the mixing ball releases. Hold your can of spray paint 8-12" from the surface and apply light coats of spray paint, waiting a few minutes between each coat to ensure even coverage.
Let the spray paint dry for 1 hour before handling and a full 24 hours before use.
