Upcycle an old desk with Chalked Paint

Blogger Project - Think about a fresh coat of paint before you decide to throw away old furniture. This desk was given new life with Chalked Paint. 

1. Lightly sand the desk with a sanding block and wipe away sanding residue with a lint-free cloth.
2. Stir the Light Tint Base in Sensible Sage before applying the product.  
3. Using a 2" high-quality synthetic brush, paint light even strokes to ensure an even, smooth finish. 
4. Optional: The paint can be distressed if desired. Wait 2 hours before distressing. To distress, lightly sand the surface with fine-medium sandpaper. 
5. Let the paint fully cure according to the directions on the can before applying the Chalked Protective Top Coat. 
6. Apply the protective top coat with a high-quality synthetic paint brush in light, even coats until fully covered. 
7. Top coat will be dry to the touch in 30 minutes, dry to handle in 1 hour and is fully dry in 4 hours. It can be re-coated after 2 hours, if necessary.
