  1. Clean and prep the cooler’s surface by lightly sanding it.
  2. Tape off the edges to prevent any overspray from getting on the trim.
  3. Apply Rust-Oleum® Universal® Hammered Spray Paint to the cooler’s surface in light, even coats.
  4. Allow the paint to dry completely.
  5. With a pencil, draw out your chalkboard’s shape on the cooler.
  6. Fill in the outline with Rust-Oleum® Chalkboard Brush-On and allow it to dry completely.
  7. Remove all tape and clean up any paint that may have gone out of bounds.
  8. Write on your chalkboard to let guests know what they can find inside! When not in use, adorn the cooler with a "Welcome" message and fill with outdoor toys or tools.
