A gold bar cart adds style and organization to any gathering in your home. Rust-Oleum Metallic Gold Spray Paint lets you transform an old cart into one you can display with pride.

PREPARE: Always use spray paint in a well-ventilated area and cover your surroundings with a drop cloth to protect them from paint. Remove all trays and wheels from the frame of the cart or cover them with paper to avoid getting paint on them. If the frame of your cart already has a glossy surface, sand it lightly to ensure that your new paint will adhere properly. Wipe down the cart with a tack cloth to remove any dust or dirt.

PRIME: Shake your can of Rust-Oleum Clean Metal Primer Spray for one minute after the mixing ball begins to rattle. Then, hold the can upright 10-16" from the cart and spray in a steady, back-and-forth motion, slightly overlapping each stroke. Apply two or more light coats a few minutes apart to avoid drips.

PAINT: Now that your cart has an even coat of primer, you can begin painting. Shake your can of Rust-Oleum Metallic Spray Paint. Hold the can 10-12" away from the cart and apply the gold paint to your cart using the same technique you used with the primer. Apply two or three light coats a few minutes apart.

FINISH: Let the spray paint dry completely for 24 hours before reattaching the trays and wheels.

Once you’ve finished painting and reassembling your gold bar cart, it’s time to stock it. Fill the shelves with the beverages and drinkware of your choice. For additional customization, make your own glittery martini glasses or personalized wine glasses. Cheers!
