This industrial barstool is great for the garage, workshop, or man cave. Here’s how you can get this two-tone look in three steps.
- PREPARE: Always work in a well-ventilated area and use a drop cloth to protect from overspray.
- PAINT: Shake your can of Stops Rust Metallic in Silver Metallic for one minute after the mixing ball starts to rattle. Then, hold the can 10-16” from the barstool and spray in a steady, sweeping motion over the top of the seat and the bottoms of the legs of the stool. Apply one light coat followed by a second moderate coat. Let the paint dry completely for 24 hours. Once the paint is completely dry, use painter’s tape and masking paper to mask off the seat and bottoms of the legs of the barstool. Then, shake your can of Stops Rust Satin in Classic Navy thoroughly and apply 2-3 light coats to the middle section of the barstool.
- FINISH: Once you’re finished painting, remove the painter’s tape and set the barstool aside to dry for 24 hours.
