Refinish a dresser to add storage and antique appeal to your entryway. We refinished this dresser with Rust-Oleum Milk Paint to give it a matte finish with a lightly textured, brushed look.

  1. Open the can of Rust-Oleum Milk Paint Finish and stir the paint to ensure even pigment. Pour into a paint tray.
  2. Working over a drop cloth, apply a light coat of milk paint to the dresser with a high-quality, synthetic paint brush. Brush on the paint in a “V” pattern to achieve a washed look.
  3. Finish may be recoated after 30 minutes. Apply multiple coats to achieve desired coverage. Paint will have subtle texture.
  4. Allow the milk paint to dry for approximately 1 hour, or longer in cooler temperatures.
