Add character to your kitchen set with spray painted chairs. Here’s how to get this look in a few steps.

PREPARE: Place each chair over a drop cloth in a well-ventilated area. Wipe the chairs down with a tack cloth to remove any dirt or dust. Then, use painter’s tape and masking paper to cover any parts of the chairs that you don’t want to paint.

PRIME: Shake your can of Rust-Oleum Stops Rust Universal Bonding Primer for 1 minute after the mixing ball starts to rattle. Then, hold the can 10-16” away from the chair and spray in a steady, sweeping motion. Spray a few light coats. Then, repeat on the other chairs.

PAINT: Shake your can of Rust-Oleum Stops Rust Spray Paint (we used Satin Classic Navy) for 1 minute after the mixing ball starts to rattle. Then, hold the can 10-16” away from the surface and spray in a steady, sweeping motion over the chair. Spray 2-3 light coats, waiting a few minutes in between each coat. Repeat this step on the other chairs.

FINISH: Let the chairs dry completely for 24 hours before using.
