If you have rusty hand tools in your garage, give them an update! Remove the rust with Rust Dissolver Gel and spray paint their handles in your favorite colors. This project was completed by Fancy Farmgirls as inspiration for the DIYer.
- Rinse the metal to wash away loose dirt.
- Apply Rust Dissolver by spraying then brushing onto the surface.
- Allow Rust Dissolver to work for 15-30 minutes.
- Rinse again and dry thoroughly.
- Apply painter's tape to mask off any areas you don't want to paint.
- Spray on your color of choice onto the handles of each tool according to the directions on the spray can.
- Let the paint dry to the touch for 20 minutes and for one hour to handle.
