Don’t let old sun visors age your car’s interior. A few coats of Rust-Oleum can restore them to like-new condition. Here’s how to refinish your sun visors in a few steps.

  1. PREPARE: Make sure you work in a well-ventilated area and use a drop cloth to protect from overspray. Remove the visors from your car. Wipe them down with a lint-free cloth, and then use painter’s tape to tape off any areas you don’t want to paint.
  2. PAINT: Shake your can of Fabric & Vinyl spray paint for one minute after the mixing ball starts to rattle. Hold the can 10-12” away from the visor and spray in a steady, back and forth motion, slightly overlapping each stroke. Apply two or more light coats a few minutes apart. Then, repeat this step on your second visor.
  3. FINISH: Let the visors dry completely for 24 hours before reinstalling them in your car.
