- Set up shop in the backyard or garage by laying drop cloths around to protect your property and any small fury animals from spray mist.
 - Rough up the surface of watering can with some fine sandpaper. Rinse and let dry.
 - Crack open an American Accents® Authentic Patina Finishing Kit and begin with the base coat. Follow application tips and drying times on can. Whistle while you work.
 - In a paper cup, mix a small amount of top coat with an equal amount of water. Using the foam brush, apply the top coat to a small area at a time.
 - Immediately, with a crumpled, dry paper towel dab some of the top coat off in a random pattern, with quick, blotting motions. (Get your whole body moving!)
 - Place a bouquet of your favorite flowers into the can and give yourself a pat on the back for another successful project completed!
