- Cut the veneer strips to size.
- Over a drop cloth, apply wood stain with a lint-free cloth on veneer strips with various Varathane Wood Stain colors.
- Wipe off any excess stain and let it dry.
- Lay out the veneer strips into a design on the wood cutout.
- Mark the strips on wood cutout with a pencil and adhere them to the wood with a warm iron.
- Protect your wood project with a coat of polyurethane applied with a high quality synthetic bristle brush according to the directions on the can.
- Lay your artwork flat and let the polyurethane dry before displaying your artwork.
