- Print state outline on a piece of paper (recommend at least 9" width).
- Cut out state with scissors.
- Lay outline on plywood and trace with pencil.
- Cut out the plywood shape with a jigsaw.
- Sand the front and the sides of the state plaque. Remove dust.
- Spread out the drop cloth or old sheet and lay the state plaque on it.
- Using the paper towel, apply the stain in the direction of the grain. Remove excess stain and let dry.
- Affix the sawtooth hanger on the back in the center of the plaque. Hang on a nail.
