Let's face it--in the fall, orange pumpkin decorations aren't hard to come by. Switch it up a little and make your fall decor stand out with these sleek and modern mirror finish pumpkins.

TIP: Before you get started, it may be helpful to watch this video on applying Mirror Effect spray paint.

  1. PREPARE: Always work in a well ventilated area and use a drop cloth to protect your surroundings from overspray. Clean the inside and outside of the glass pumpkins with glass cleaner and a lint free cloth. To get the mirror effect, you'll need to spray the inside of the glass. To protect the outside glass from spray, tape off the outside edges, and cover the rest of the pumpkin with paper. Secure the paper with painter’s tape.
  2. PAINT: Hold your Mirror Effect spray paint 10-12” from the glass pumpkin and spray the inside glass in a steady back-and-forth motion, slightly overlapping each stroke. Apply 3 or more light, thin coats at a moderate speed, allowing 1-2 minutes between coats. For best results, apply multiple light coats versus one heavy coat.
  3. FINISH: Let the pumpkins dry for 1 hour, the mirror effect will intensify as the paint dries.

Display your pumpkins as Halloween or Thanksgiving table decorations, or put them on the living room mantle alongside your other fall décor.
