Modern Wood Wall Art

Sand all the wood and remove dust from surface using the tack cloth.
Spread out the old sheet or drop cloth and place the wood on it.
Stain half of the wood pieces with one color stain and half the pieces with the other color stain. Remove excess stain with paper towels. Allow to dry.
Spread out the dowel rods on old sheet or drop cloth.
Using a sweeping motion, spray-paint the dowels with multiple thin coats of paint. Allow to dry.
Lay out the wood blocks facedown on a clean dry surface.
Lay five vertical dowels on the back of the blocks at varied heights and affix with the brad nailer to the back of the wooden blocks.
Lay the four horizontal dowels at varied places on the back of the wood art.
Measure and cut the horizontal pieces to fit between the vertical dowels and affix with the brad nailer.
Hang on the wall with picture-hanging hooks and enjoy!
