Give your room a spooky look with some DIY Halloween mantel décor. We painted decorative pumpkins, skulls and other pieces black, white and metallic gold to achieve this spooktacular fireplace mantel.
- Make sure each prop is clean and dry. Use sandpaper to lightly scuff any glossy surfaces to help the spray paint better adhere. Wipe off any sanding residue with a lint-free cloth.
- Working over a drop cloth in a well-ventilated space, apply spray paint in the colors of your choice to each prop, according to the directions on the can.
- Let the painted items dry for 1 hour before handling.
