Spruce up your entryway with a bench makeover that will be envied by all who walk through the door. Varathane Gel Stain makes it easy to update the color with a thick formula that works well on vertical surfaces because it won't drip or run. Make sure your area is covered with a drop cloth and place your table in your work area.
Using a hand sander and sandpaper, sand off any previous glossy finish on the bench and smooth out any nicks or scratches. Once the bench is prepped, the Gel Stain can be used according to the directions on the can. Our Gel Stain formula is thick so that it won't run or drip on your project.
Once your stain is dry (approximately 8 hours), apply Ultimate Polyurethane for maximum durability and scratch resistance.
