Give outdated patio furniture a brand new appearance with a fresh coat of Rust-Oleum spray paint. A pop of color is a quick and affordable way to update the look of your outdoor space.
For this project, we painted:
- Planters using Rust-Oleum Stops Rust Metallic spray paint in Cobalt Blue.
- Patio chairs using Rust-Oleum Painter’s Touch 2X Ultra Cover spray paint in Satin Summer Squash and Satin Magenta.
- A pendant light using Rust-Oleum Painter’s Touch 2X Ultra Cover spray paint in Satin Hunt Club Green.
Before you use spray paint, make sure you are in a well-ventilated area and that the items you plan to paint are clean and dry. Cover any surrounding areas that you don’t want to paint with a drop cloth or tarp.
Now you’re ready to paint. Shake each can of spray paint for one minute after the mixing ball begins to rattle. Then, follow the instructions on each can’s label to make sure you’re spraying from the appropriate distance and allowing sufficient dry time between coats.
Once your pieces are dry, place them back on your patio and enjoy its updated look.
