Spray paint is an easy way to give your dining room decor a whole new look and at a fraction of the price of replacing it. We used Rust-Oleum spray paint in four complementary colors to breathe new life into this dining room.
For this project, we painted:
- A wood buffet using Rust-Oleum Painter’s Touch 2X Ultra Cover spray paint in Satin Hunt Club Green, while keeping the natural wood doors.
- A charger plate using Rust-Oleum Chalked Ultra Matte spray paint in Aged Gray.
- A bar cart and vase using Rust-Oleum Painter’s Touch 2X Ultra Cover spray paint in Satin Moss Green.
- Candlestick holder and buffet hardware using Rust-Oleum Universal Matte Metallic spray paint in Copper.
- A vase using Universal Matte spray paint in Farmhouse Black
Ready to update your own dining room décor? To get started, select your favorite Rust-Oleum spray paint colors and finishes. Find an outdoor or well-ventilated space to do your painting. Start by giving the surface a sanding with a fine grit sand paper if needed. Clean and dry the surface before painting.
After covering the surrounding area with a tarp or drop cloth, shake each spray paint can vigorously for one minute after the mixing ball begins to rattle. Spray the surface with several light coats for best coverage, waiting a few minutes between each coat. Read each can’s label for tips on how far you should keep the can from the item you’re painting, as well as required times for additional coats and drying. For additional protection, apply a top coat of Rust-Oleum Painter’s Touch 2X Ultra Cover Clear.
After you’re done painting and your dining room accessories are dry, place them back in your space and enjoy the serene transformation!
