Painted light fixtures are an easy and affordable way to update your kitchen. See how a coat of Rust-Oleum Stops Rust Spray Paint made these kitchen light fixtures look modern again.

Place your detached light fixtures over a drop cloth. Shake your can of Rust-Oleum Stops Rust Spray Paint (we used Satin Coastal Gray) vigorously for one minute after the mixing ball begins to rattle.

Hold the spray paint can upright 10-16" from surface and spray in a steady, back-and-forth motion, slightly overlapping each stroke. Keep the can the same distance from the surface and in motion while spraying.

Apply two or three light coats within an hour, waiting a few minutes between coats. If coats of paint aren’t applied within an hour, wait 48 hours before applying the second coat.

The spray paint will be dry to touch in 1 hour.
