Glitter ornaments add an extra pop to your holiday décor. In this project, we used Rust-Oleum Metallic and Glitter spray paints to add sparkle to plain reindeer ornaments.

  1. Apply Rust-Oleum®® Painter’s Touch 2X Ultra Cover® Primer Spray to unfinished ceramic reindeer ornaments according to the directions on the can.
  2. Apply a second coat of primer or within 1 hour or after 24 hours. Primer will be dry to the touch in 20 minutes, to handle in 1 hour and fully dry in 24 hours.
  3. Use painter’s tape to tape off sections of reindeer to separate paint colors.
  4. Paint reindeer bodies with Rust-Oleum® Glitter spray paint in Kelly Green and Gold, following the directions on the can. Apply at least 2 coats, letting the glitter paint dry for at least 30 minutes between coats.
  5. Apply Rust-Oleum Glitter Clear Sealer as a top coat and let it dry for approximately 30 minutes.
  6. Tape the bodies and use Rust-Oleum® Stops Rust® Metallic spray paint in Warm Gold to paint the antlers on the gold reindeer.
  7. Stops Rust® dries to touch in 1 hour, and is fully dry in 24 hours. Apply a second coat within 1 hour or after 48 hours.
  8. Decorate each reindeer with jingle bells or other accessories using glue dots.
