Festively painted plate chargers add some sparkle to your dinner party. Learn how to add a touch of glitter with Rust-Oleum spray paint.

PREPARE: Always work in a well-ventilated area and cover nearby items with drop cloths to protect them from overspray. Wipe down the outside of the charger using a lint-free cloth.

TAPE: Use painter’s tape to create a striped pattern on the charger

PAINT: Hold your can of Rust-Oleum Glitter Spray Paint 10-12” from the plate charger and begin spraying the surface in a steady, back-and-forth motion, slightly overlapping each stroke. For best results, apply multiple light coats instead of one heavy coat. Apply 3 or more light coats at a moderate speed. Let the glitter spray paint dry for about 20 minutes, then topcoat the charger with Rust-Oleum Glitter Clear Sealer. For best results, apply 2 or more light coats.

FINISH: Let the plate chargers dry for at least 1 hour before using. Remove painter’s tape and proudly display your glittery plate chargers on your table at your next dinner party!
