- Spread old sheets or a drop cloth on the ground outdoors to protect surfaces from enamel drips.
- Sand the front and sides of all five scrap wood pieces with 120-grit sandpaper.
- Remove the sanding dust from wood surfaces with a lint-free cloth.
- Attach the wood pieces together in a nonparallel pattern, using the Jig, drill and screws.
- Set the wood rack on the drop cloth, and apply protective enamel to the front and sides with a foam craft brush or paintbrush.
- While the enamel is still wet, remove excess with paper towels to allow the wood grain to show through.
- Allow the enamel to dry 4-6 hours or overnight.
- Attach a hook in the center of each piece of wood.
- Attach 2 sawtooth hangers on opposite sides of the back of the rack with a hammer, then hang it on the wall.
