- Cut wood into (8) 30” pieces (top slats) and (3) 20” pieces (bottom slats) with a mitre saw.
- Sand all pieces, and ease edges with progressive sandpaper grits (120/180/220).
- Set (2) 30” pieces on a flat surface, then place (2) 20” bottom slats on top to create a squarely positioned 30” x 20” wood frame. Keep edges of each piece flush on the ends, and clamp into place.
- Pre-drill holes 3/4” deep, 2 for each slat's point of attachment, and secure with square drive screws.
- Center and attach the remaining 20” piece to the frame.
- Evenly space the remaining (6) 30” slats approximately 1/4" apart, and attach with screws from the bottom.
- Apply two coats of Watco Teak Oil Finish with a rag or paintbrush, and allow it to dry for 24 hours prior to use.
