STEP 1

Clean

Begin the cabinet preparation by cleaning the cabinets with the Krud Kutter cleaner as described in the instruction manual included in the Cabinet Transformations Kit.

STEP 2

Apply the Bond Coat

As outlined in the kit’s instruction manual, use a 2” angled or straight synthetic paintbrush and/or roller to apply the Bond Coat to the cabinet doors. For wood cabinet doors, be sure to follow the grain. Start with all four inside corners and sides. Next, paint the center panel with long, smooth vertical strokes. For the top and bottom portions, use horizontal strokes. Once the first coat is completely dry (approximately 2-3 hours) apply a second coat.

STEP 3

Apply the Glaze

Next, apply decorative Glaze using a foam brush to the center panel of the door.

Heavy Edge 3

STEP 4

Remove the Glaze

Gently wipe the Glaze off the center panel of the door with a rolled up glazing cloth, allowing the Glaze to remain heavier in the corners and recesses of the doors. Repeat the process on the top and bottom portions of the cabinet doors by wiping in horizontal direction with the grain. Remove the Glaze from the outer sides in vertical motion, with the grain of the wood.

Allow your cabinet doors, drawers and frames to dry overnight, or for a minimum of 8 hours, before finishing with the Top Coat.
